Saylator Terms of Use
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and USK MOBILE ("we", "us"), for the use of the Saylator app and the website saylator.com. By using Saylator you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Saylator.
1. What Saylator does
Saylator is a push-to-talk voice translator. You hold the button and speak; Saylator recognizes what you said with your phone's speech recognizer, translates it with an AI service, and says the translation out loud. How your data is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
2. Translations are made by AI
Translations are produced automatically by artificial intelligence. They are usually good, but they can be wrong, incomplete or sound unnatural, and speech recognition can mishear you. Saylator is a help for everyday conversations. Do not rely on it alone where a mistake could cause harm, for example for medical, legal or safety matters or in an emergency. In those situations, use a qualified interpreter or local emergency services. You are responsible for how you use the translations.
3. Who can use Saylator
You must be at least 13 years old to use Saylator. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian. Saylator is not directed to children under 13.
4. Credits
- How credits work. Translations are paid for with credits. Each started block of 150 characters of what you say costs 1 credit: up to 150 characters costs 1 credit, 151 to 300 characters costs 2 credits, and so on. One translation can currently be up to 1,000 characters long.
- What costs credits. Every translation, including a sentence you correct or send again and a translation you stop before it finishes. Your balance is shown in the app.
- What is free. Quick phrases, replaying a translation and your history do not use credits.
- When a translation fails on our side, its credits are normally given back automatically.
- Free gift credits. A new device may receive free gift credits. The gift may be limited (for example, per day or per network), may arrive later than the first start, and we may change or end it at any time. Gift credits are a goodwill offer and cannot be bought or exchanged.
- Credits never expire.
- Credits have no cash value. They can only be used for translations in Saylator. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred to another person or device for money.
- Credits belong to the device. Saylator has no accounts, so credits are linked to your phone's device identity, not to an Apple or Google account. On iPhone they are normally kept when you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone with a backup. If you lose access to credits you bought (for example after reinstalling on a new phone), write to support@saylator.com with the Apple transaction ID or Google Play order ID of the purchase, and we will move the unused credits of that purchase to your new device where we can verify it.
5. Buying credits
- Credits are sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store takes the payment, and its terms also apply to the purchase. The price is the one the store shows you, in your currency.
- Credits are added once our server has verified the purchase with Apple or Google. If a payment is waiting for approval (for example, Ask to Buy), the credits arrive once it is approved.
- Refunds are decided by Apple or Google under their own refund policies. To ask for a refund, use the store's refund process (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: your order history in Google Play). Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer law.
- If Apple or Google refunds a purchase, we remove the credits that purchase gave. If some of them were already used, your balance can go below zero, and you need to add credits before you can translate again.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Saylator for anything illegal, or to threaten, harass, defraud or deceive anyone;
- try to get credits you have not paid for, for example by creating many devices to collect gift credits, or by misusing purchases and refunds;
- send automated requests, attack, overload or interfere with our servers, or try to reach them other than through the app;
- copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, except where the law allows it;
- use Saylator to break the usage rules of the AI service it relies on (Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy).
If a device breaks these rules, we may block it. A blocked device cannot translate or buy credits. If you think your device was blocked by mistake, write to support@saylator.com.
7. Your content
What you say and its translation remain yours. You allow us to process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you say, and you should have the right to say it.
8. Our rights
The Saylator app, its name, design, voices and website belong to us or our licensors. Some voices are produced with Kyutai's Pocket TTS models (CC BY 4.0). The typeface is Quicksand (SIL Open Font License). On iPhone, your licence to use the app is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms add the rules for the service and credits. Saylator is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Apple, Google or Anthropic.
9. Changes to the service
We work to keep Saylator available, but it may sometimes be interrupted, for example by maintenance or a fault at one of our providers. We may add, change or remove languages, voices and features. If we ever decide to close the service for good, we will announce it in advance in the app and on saylator.com.
10. Liability
We provide Saylator with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on a translation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law, such as the Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 or the consumer law of the EU country where you live.
11. Ending use
You can stop using Saylator at any time by deleting the app. If you want your device's data deleted from our server, see the Privacy Policy. We may stop providing the service to a device that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. We will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app or on saylator.com before they take effect. If you keep using Saylator after that, the new terms apply.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Turkey. If you are a consumer, you may bring a complaint to the consumer arbitration committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or the consumer court that is competent under Turkish law. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country and may go to its courts. Before that, please write to us: most problems can be solved by email.
